RFID hotel key cards, public transportation, event ticketing, and loyalty cards
NXP’s MIFARE Ultralight C card is designed for cost-effective ticketing and short-term applications. It adheres to the ISO/IEC 14443 Type A standard, operates at 13.56MHz, features 192 bytes of EEPROM memory, and offers secure read/write functionality. Its lightweight design makes it ideal for high-volume applications such as hotel keys, public transportation cards, event tickets, and promotional membership cards.
The Ultralight C card features Triple DES authentication, making it significantly more secure than standard Ultralight cards and preventing card copying and cloning.
Although its 192 bytes of storage are small, it’s just enough to store ticketing, trip counting, and points data. It offers a low cost and is suitable for single-use event tickets, promotional cards, and single-trip transportation tickets.
Fully compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A, it is compatible with common card readers (such as POS, access control, and gates), simplifying deployment.
It supports thin card, wristband, and tag form factors. More flexible and lightweight than MIFARE Classic.
