Description

The NXP Mifare Classic EV1 1K S50 is a contactless IC chip developed by NXP Semiconductors, widely used in RFID and NFC applications. It complies with the ISO/IEC 14443 Type A standard and features 1KB of EEPROM memory, divided into 16 sectors, each containing 4 blocks of 16 bytes. Users can define access conditions for each memory block, facilitating data management and security control. It’s 1 KB of memory is sufficient to store information such as access rights, payment details, or personal data.

The NXP Mifare Classic EV1 1K S50 card uses the standard CR80 size (86×54mm) and is only 0.84mm thick, making it durable and long-lasting. The card supports various high-quality materials, including PVC, PET, PET-G, and PC, ensuring it can withstand daily wear and tear and meet the long-term usage requirements of applications such as student ID cards. Our DCCO Tech blank cards can utilize this chip and feature a fully printable surface, allowing you to easily print your own designs, logos, or text using any standard ID card printer.

FAQ

1. Can the card’s base material and size be customized? What are the specifications of the standard model?

A: Standard model: Uses PVC base material (industry standard), size is ISO standard card 85.5×54×0.76mm, with rounded corners, conforming to the common size of bank cards/ID cards;
Customization supported: Base material can be changed to PET/ABS/paper card stickers, thickness can be customized from 0.5-1.0mm, and custom shapes are available (such as keychains, round, square small cards), and hollowing and punching processes can also be customized.

2. What are the operating and storage temperature ranges of the card? Can it adapt to industrial/outdoor environments?

A: Operating temperature: -20℃ ~ +70℃, if a industrial-grade version is customized, it can support -40℃ ~ +85℃; Storage temperature: -40℃ ~ +85℃; The standard model is suitable for indoor commercial scenarios (access control, consumption, campus ID cards), and the industrial-grade model can adapt to high and low temperature industrial environments such as outdoors and workshops.

3. Is it compatible with existing Mifare Classic card readers/writers? Does it require separate debugging?

Answer: The card is fully compatible with all 13.56MHz card readers/writers that support the Mifare Classic protocol. Because it retains full protocol compatibility with the classic S50, no separate debugging is required. It can directly replace existing Mifare Classic 1K cards and is suitable for mainstream application scenarios such as access control, consumption, attendance, and bus cards.

4. Will the printing color of the card affect the reading and writing performance? What should be noted during customization?

A: Conventional four-color printing, hot stamping, and other processes will not affect the chip’s reading and writing performance; during customization, please note: avoid printing thick ink layers or metallic inks on the chip location, and do not perform punching or hollowing at the chip location to prevent shielding of the radio frequency signal. We will mark the chip restricted area during the customization draft review to avoid performance issues.
